Hello! I am Sonya Hueftle, a passionate and dedicated student at Naropa University, immersed in the world of Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy. My academic journey is driven by a profound interest in understanding and aiding individuals from diverse backgrounds on their paths to holistic well-being. I am committed to exploring innovative therapeutic approaches that bridge the gap between traditional psychology and the transformative potential of nature.
My worldly experiences extend beyond the academic realm. I have had the privilege of living and working in Panama as an agriculture volunteer, where I immersed myself in a rich tapestry of cultures and landscapes. Additionally, my journey has led me to engage with and care for elders, further enriching my understanding of the human experience across the lifespan. This hands-on experience in caretaking has provided me with insights into the unique challenges and joys that come with supporting individuals in their later stages of life.
As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, I am driven by the belief that the integration of psychology, nature, and cultural sensitivity can be a powerful catalyst for positive change.
I am excited to meet you, and support your growing journey!
