Internship Program

At Mirador Counseling, we aspire to create a space where everyone, regardless of background, feels empowered to explore their inner selves in a supportive environment. 

As a practice, we believe that experiencing counseling in a safe, trusting environment will help individuals understand their unique strengths and the qualities that make them whole powerful.  

Mirador Counseling is proud to serve BIPOC, LGBTQ+ individuals, and offers services in English and Spanish. Serving ages 14+

Location:
9201 W 44th Ave.
Wheat Ridge Co 80033

Supervision:
One-hour weekly supervision, monthly group supervision, triadic as needed.

Hours:

  • Weekly one-hour individual supervision (once per week)

  • Monthly group supervision (twice per month)

  • Quarterly training sessions offered

Time Commitment:

  • Hybrid internship program

  • Flexible scheduling

  • 20 hours per week internship

  • 10 hours per week practicum

Internship requirements:

  • Enrolled in Master’s or Doctoral program

  • Proof of liability insurance

  • Minimum of 9 month commitment

  • Weekly supervision

  • Completion of all clinical paperwork

  • Ability to work independently

  • Professional and compassionate attitude

    **All internship offers will be contingent on a clear background check.
