Hi there! I’m happy you’re here. I believe we each contain the tools we need to heal our wounds and move towards personal growth, however, sometimes we need help accessing them. I view my role of the therapist as a witness to your process and a guide for you to reconnect with your inner self. As a somatic therapist, my approach aims to bring awareness to sensation, breath and movement in the body and integrate this as information, much like our thoughts, to better understand your current experience.
I center trust between client and therapist as central to a strong therapeutic alliance and draw upon the fields of Body Psychotherapy and D/MT, attachment theory, polyvagal theory, trauma studies, parts work, yoga and mindfulness techniques in session. I am committed to creating a space in which you feel informed, supported and empowered to carve your unique healing journey.
Additionally, I hold a strong social justice orientation and believe that our identities, locations and experiences are sources of strength, wisdom and resilience when they are acknowledged and honored. I passionately affirm LGBTQIA identities, BIPOC identities, women, and ENM and poly relationships in my work. I know finding the right therapist and beginning your healing journey can feel overwhelming. If something here resonates with you, I’d love to connect and support you along the way.
